MyRoute-app is a map application that was started in and is based out of the Netherlands, but is actively used around the world. It is also a map application that was also started and shared because of the founder’s excitement to share their passion with others! And, as an early side note, the MyRoute-app shop has been a reseller of SilverFox controllers since very early in our story, and that cooperation is great!

So, first of all, this short discussion about the MyRoute-app is merely scratching the surface of the application operations. The first time that you open the MyRoute navigation application, it kicks off with a short tutorial about the buttons on the home screen which is just the introduction that you need to get moving. Additionally, the MyRoute-app webpages have the “Community Forum” and the “FAQ” pages that have a huge amount of information to assist users in really understanding the application operations.
The MyRoute-app map is clean and easy to navigate. In the top right corner the map set up buttons, with the options to choose the type of map that best suits your viewing pleasure, the “star” button to choose your saved favorites (that can also be selected as a destination), as well as the “nearby routes” button (third button from the top) that provides access to routes in the specified area that have been saved by other users. The buttons in the bottom right corner of the main screen are for starting the navigation (arrow button) and then for recording the ride you are on.
The search bar at the top allows you to search a location, set it as a destination, and then start the journey. Test this before you hit the road!! When the navigation starts the map will switch over to provide even more opportunities! Remember to choose your mode of transportation from the box in the bottom left of the navigation map (motorcycle helmet for our purposes), as well as the types of roads, and once the journey details are selected, hit that yellow arrow to move on. The final selection is, of course, to “start” the navigation, after which the navigation begins based on all the selected settings.
By selecting the menu button from the main page, the classic three lines in the upper left corner, there are even more options for routes, track logs, libraries, and other route planning! There are a huge number of options that only expand once you make a free account and then upgrade the account. Find your personal account by clicking the menu button and choosing the account button that will appear in the upper right corner.
From a SilverFox point of view, make sure you are operating in the Function 2 key set. Additionally, if the application is not recognizing the SilverFox controller choose the “menu” button to access your personal account information. On the personal account menu there is an option for “input settings” from which you can select “SilverFox”. Once the input is selected, you’re ready to navigate using the SilverFox and MyRoute combo!
Once again, this is only the initial SilverFox motorcycle navigation introduction to MyRoute-app, and we are looking forward to getting even more practical experience with this app once the riding season in Finland really begins! So, stay tuned for additional updates to this article as we learn more!
Happy Navigating Everyone!!
