ABOUT Motorcycle Navigation

Navigation Controllers for motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles.

Tablets and mobile phones are getting even more popular as motorcycle navigation tools. There are great rugged waterproof units that are perfectly suitable for even the roughest rides. A very positive development!

There are, however, some downsides to operating such navigation solution in on/off road conditions. Driving gear, such as gloves, limits the opportunity to operate the map applications on touch screens. Some screens are capable of sensing the gloved hands and some screens need special instructions for operation. Even if your pointer finger works in the system, there is vibration while driving, vehicle movement,  and it can be hard to hit the right navigation buttons on a screen...too much hassle.

SilverFox Bluetooth Controllers help to solve this problem. Using our navigation controllers you can adjust your map application by simply pressing the buttons. Basic map application requirements during on/off road driving are scrolling the map, zooming in and out, or centering the map to your location; That is exactly what SilverFox navigation controllers are doing. Plus few other tricks, depending on the model of the controller.  And... yes... there are more models to come!

To make it even easier to start using SilverFox, its connected wirelessly to the chosen navigation device, via Bluetooth. Simple, effective, and reliable.

Start of SilverFox

It was 2005 when I had to sell my bike, it was big touring bike at the time. The usual story of having a dog, getting married, a baby... or two, buying a house, busy at work, starting entrepreneur...

During these years away from the motorcycle world the navigation technology also went forward, in giant leaps. Cell phones got touch screens, mobile data, GPS receivers in mobile phones, Bluetooth connection, open source map applications arrived...

Finally, in 2021, I bought a motorbike again. This time a big ADV bike, a 2010 BMW R1200GS. Quite soon after, I understood the fact that modern motorcycle navigation has jumped forward from paper maps to touch screen navigation maps, into mobile phones and tablets... But how do I operate these screens with my riding gloves on?
